1. Policy statement

SwitchAid (trading name of Project Business Solutions) is committed to promoting equality, valuing diversity, and fostering an inclusive working environment where people are treated with dignity and respect.

We aim to ensure that no individual is treated less favourably on the basis of protected characteristics and that opportunities are provided fairly and consistently.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • All employees, directors, contractors, and agency workers

  • All aspects of employment, including recruitment, training, promotion, pay, and working practices

We act in accordance with the Equality Act 2010, which protects individuals from discrimination on the basis of protected characteristics, including (but not limited to):

As an SME, our approach to equality, diversity, and inclusion is proportionate and practical. We aim to:

  • Make reasonable adjustments where appropriate

  • Ensure decisions relating to employment are based on merit, skills, and business needs

5. Responsibilities

All individuals working for or on behalf of SwitchAid are expected to:

  • Act in a respectful and inclusive manner

  • Comply with this policy and relevant employment procedures

Overall responsibility for this policy sits with the directors of SwitchAid.

6. Raising concerns

Anyone who believes they have been subject to discrimination, harassment, or unfair treatment is encouraged to raise the matter promptly.

Concerns can be raised with:

  • A line manager

  • A director of the business

Concerns will be taken seriously and, where appropriate, investigated.

7. Review

This policy will be reviewed periodically and updated where necessary to reflect changes in legislation, guidance, or business practices.
